Monte Cristo Overnight Bake

Whether you’re serving up a lazy Sunday brunch or a holiday breakfast for a crowd, this Monte Cristo Overnight Bake is filling and easy. Prep the dish the evening before and refrigerate overnight, then bake in the morning. Serve with fruit and enjoy!

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 large eggs
  • 8 thick slices white bread (thick slices white bread)
  • 8 slices ham
  • 8 slices turkey
  • 6 oz grated gruyere cheese


  • fresh raspberries
  • raspberry preserves
  • powdered sugar

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Whisk to combine milk and eggs. Set aside. In a 9 x 12 baking dish, place pieces bread with pointed side up into pan. Add 1 slice of ham and turkey and a couple tablespoons cheese between every other piece of bread.

Step 2

Pour egg mixture evenly over the top and let rest for 20 minutes on counter or cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 3

If stored overnight, let dish rest on counter for 20 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 30-40 minutes until lightly browned and cheese is melted in the center of the dish.

Step 4

Serve with fresh raspberries and raspberry preserves with a light dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
