Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound angel hair pasta,
  • 12 ounces fresh green beans, sliced on the bias into 1-inch pieces,
  • ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil,
  • ⅓ cup sliced shallots,
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced,
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes,
  • 1¼ pounds small shrimp, peeled and deveined,
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley,
  • ½ teaspoon salt,

Cooking Instructions

Step 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta, return to a boil and cook 6 minutes. During last 3 minutes, add green beans. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.

Step 2

Meanwhile, heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shallots, garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 1 minute. Add shrimp. Cook 1 minute, flip and cook 1 minute more. Stir in parsley.

Step 3

Transfer to a large bowl. Toss with pasta, reserved pasta water and salt.
