Directions Cooking Instructions: For food safety, cook thoroughly to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer. Since appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only. All You Need: 1 package Signature Select Beef Stew Seasoning Mix; 2 lbs beef stew, cut into 1-inch cubes; 1/4 cup flour; 2 tbsp vegetable oil; 3 cups water; 5 cups cut-up fresh vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, celery and onions. 1. Coat beef with flour. Cook in hot oil in large saucepan or Dutch oven over medium heat until browned. 2. Stir in Seasoning Mix and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add vegetables; cover and simmer 45 minutes longer until beef and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Make 8 servings. Tasty Tips: Serve over mashed potatoes or with crusty bread and a tossed green salad. For a twist on traditional beef stew, use winter vegetables such as carrots, butternut squash, parsnips or sweet potatoes.
