Directions Recommended serving size is 3/4-1 lb per person. Thaw: Two methods are recommended. See thawing guide below. Do not open protective bag during thawing. Thawing Guide: Weight (8-12 lbs)- Refrigerator (place in pan) 2 days, Cold water (Cover with Water) 4-6 hours. 12-16 Lbs: Refrigerator 2-3 days, Cold water 6-9 hours. 16-20 Lbs: Refrigerator 3 days, Cold water 9-11 hours. 20-24 Lbs: Refrigerator 4 days, Cold water 11-12 hours. Change water frequently (every 30 minutes) to assure safe thawing. Do not thaw at room temperature. Do not freeze thawed turkey. Preparation: Remove turkey from bag. Remove giblet package from neck cavity. Release legs from clamp. Do not try to remove clamp. Remove neck from body cavity. Rinse inside and outside of turkey with cold water, drain and pat dry. Loosely stuff body and neck cavity if desired. (Prepare stuffing ahead of time on a clean work surface). Re-tuck legs in clamp. Roast immediately.
