Cook thoroughly. Easy Prep: Cook This Side Up: Place unopened bag in microwave this side up, evenly distribute potatoes, and microwave on high for 10 minutes (The above preparations were developed using a 1200 wait microwave on high. Due to variations in ovens, adjustment to cooking time may be required). Let stand for 2 minutes. Using oven mitts, remove carefully, using both hands to grasp bag at top corners. Cut top of bag along dotted line to open & pour potatoes into large bowl. Mash lightly, add 2/3 cup of milk and 2 tbsp of butter, then mash to desired smoothness and season to taste. Bag inflates slowly during cooking and allows steam to escape through special vents. Steam N Mash is also great for stews, soups, crock pot meals and other great potato recipes. Prep Without Using the Bag: Full Bag Instructions: Pour contents of bag into a large microwave-safe bowl, add 1/3 cup of water. Cover and microwave on high for 12 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let stand for 2 minutes, add 1/3 cup milk and 2 tbsp butter, then mash to desired smoothness and season to taste. 1/2 Bag Instructions: Pour: 1/2 contents (2-1/2 cups) of bag into a large microwave-safe bowl. Add 1/3 cup of water. Cover and microwave on high for 6 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let stand for 2 minutes. Add 1/3 cup milk and 1 tbsp butter, then mash to desired smoothness and season to taste. Great for Making: Stews & soups; Mashed potatoes; Crock pot meals. Keep frozen.
