Henry Estate Winery Veraison Wine - 750 Ml
Table Wine, Veraison, Umpqua Valley, 2008
Oregon table wine. Est. 1978. Veraison, word used by English speakers for that intermediate stage of grape berry development which marks the beginning of ripening, when the grape changes from a hard, green state to their softened and coloured form. At the beginning of veraison, the berries are hard and green, and about half their final size. During veraison, the berries change skin colour and soften, sugars and volume increase and acidity decreases. This wine pays tribute to this pivotal event in the vineyard which helps determine the anticipated harvest dates. This is a delightful, fruity wine to enjoy with a summer picnic.
