Directions Cajun Jambalaya Mix Cooking Directions: Stove Top: 1 In a 2 quart saucepan, combine 3-1/4 cups of water, contents of package and 1/4 lbs of ham or smoked sausage (optional). Stir thoroughly and bring to a boil. 2 Stir, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 25 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking. 3 Remove from heat and let stand uncovered for 5 minutes. Stir, serve and enjoy. Microwave: 1- In a microwavable dish, combine 3-1/4 cups of hot water, contents of package and 1/4 lbs of ham or smoked sausage (optional). Stir and cover. 2- Cover and cook on high for 5 minutes (Cook time may vary depending on the power of the microwave oven). Stir, reduce power to 50% and cook for another 20 minutes (Cook time may vary depending on the power of the microwave oven), stirring occasionally. 3 - Remove and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Stir, serve and enjoy.
