Directions To Make, You Will Need: Contents of box + 4 cups of broth + 4 cups water + medium diced onion + 4-5 diced carrots + 2 tbsp. butter or olive oil. Cooking Instructions: 1. Remove spice packet. Wash and drain peas. 2. Combine peas, broth, and water in a 4 qt. pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer gently for 1 hour uncovered, or until peas are almost tender. Add broth or water as needed so that peas stay well covered. 3. While peas are simmering, saut� carrots and onion in butter or oil until tender and add spice packet. 4. Stir veggie mixture into peas; add milk if desired. Simmer an additional 20 minutes. Cooking times may vary.
